Levi is five today. Collective gasp. Where did five years go? If you have been reading this blog from the beginning, you have watched him grow up. You know what a darling he is; how sweet his disposition. When Levi was a newborn I was experiencing some very painful events. He was God’s gift to me to remind me that joy is available even when circumstances are dark. He has always been inquisitive, creative and sensitive to the needs of others. For every time a family member has been sick there are pictures drawn by Levi to make us feel, “better.” His imagination is wild, he lives his days full of adventure, acting out a thousand roles in a thousand plays. He’s drawn to the complexity of grownups, on a mission to understand human behaviour (good luck, buddy). He’s pulled to beauty whether it’s in a princess or in his creepy, crawly pets that sneak their way into our house. Other kids love to play with him and be drawn into his fantasy world. Adults like to hear his questions and catch a glimpse inside his creative mind.
I love and cherish my little Levi. Happy fifth birthday!
